It has taken 5 years and 2 EP’s to get an album from I Know Leopard and it was absolutely worth the wait. Recorded in 2019 and produced by The Preatures’ Jack Moffit, it has all the nostalgia of rummaging through your parents 70’s record collection. Songs such as “Love Is A Landmine, Heather and Everything Goes With You” give us huge Electric Light Orchestra moments while others “1991 and Seventy Lies” go the direction of Abba, Wings and The Bee Gees.
The album puts you straight into the mind Of Luke O’Loughlin who at the time was starting a tumultuous relationship with married band member Rosie Fitzgerald. It takes us through the struggle of fighting their feelings for each other, the guilt of ruining a marriage, the relief of it working out and boy does it make you feel things. And after all that, they’re still together! We can’t wait to see what I Know Leopard has in store for us, and if the 2 new singles are anything to go by, we are in for a treat.
