Coopers Brewery and Live Nation have once again joined forces to crank up its popular Live, Loud and Local gig series by adding Ball Park Music to the series of shows aimed at helping pubs and live music rebound from the events of 2020.
Brisbane’s melancholic pop masters Ball Park Music have today been announced to play Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Wednesday the March 3, 2021.
Ball Park Music are made of five curious minds that thrive on musical experimentation. Their inventiveness is akin to that of UK supergroup Superorganism’s playful collaboration; the Avalanches’ ability to synchronise diverse genres, and Elliott Smith’s knack for carrying sadness with an honest wit.
It has been a tremendous journey since the five-piece formed in 2008 while studying music at university. In seven years, they’ve produced five albums – the last four having consecutively debuted in the top 10 of the ARIA charts.
The band continue to sell out bigger venues each time they tour and regularly appear on the Australian festival circuit, including Falls Festival, Groovin The Moo and Splendour in the Grass.
Following the success of its initial livestreamed events in April and May of 2020, Australia’s largest family-owned brewery announced a series of real life shows including top Australian acts including The Rubens, Bad//Dreems, Crooked Colours, and now Ball Park Music.
Crooked Colours recently headlined a rapturous first show of the Coopers Live, Loud and Local series on January 17, 2021 at Hotel Rottnest in Perth. Next up to receive the Live, Loud and Local treatment are Sydney favourites The Rubens who play this evening (February 3, 2021) at Selina’s, Coogee Bay Hotel. Followed by Adelaide’s own Bad//Dreems February 19, 2021 at The Bridgeway Hotel in Adelaide, and now we can add Brisbane’s Ball Park Music at the Fortitude Music Hall on March 3, 2021.
More shows and artists will be announced for further gigs in Melbourne and Perth soon.
Each event will be produced by Coopers, in partnership with Live Nation.
